School Supplies List

****PLEASE CLEARLY LABEL ALL OF YOUR INDIVIDUAL USE ITEMS****

FOR INDIVIDUAL STUDENT USE: many of these can be reused from prior years! We expect that students have these items for use each day at school.

• one 2.5 – 3 inch, sturdy three ring binder

• one set of dividers (3 core classes, elective, and PE/Health tabs)

• #2 pencils – many

• blue or black ink pens

• colored pencils

• ruler (both inch and centimeter)

• calculator (scientific not graphing)

• lined paper (wide or college ruled)

• 2-4 Spiral Bound Quad ruled notebook ~ 80/100 pages (Five Star makes a nice one please no glue-bound — for math)

• scissors

• 1 – spiral bound notebook ~ 70 pages no dividers for science (returning students can use theirs from last year)

• one backpack

• one – 200/250 page spiral notebook with dividers (for Humanities journal)

• Memory stick – 2MB or higher

• hand held pencil sharpener with shaving collector

• “Crispin” by Avi

• “A Long Walk to Water” by Linda Sue Park

• “Thundercave” by Roland Smith

 

FOR FIELD WORK:C (On site visit days, students are expected to wear long pants and be prepared with required materials. Requirements are given on the day before the site visit.) The following are essential items:

• leather gloves or leather palmed gloves (students need their own)

• rain gear: both pants and jacket

• rain proof boots

• shoes appropriate for hiking – preferably water proof

• reusable water bottle

• clipboard

• hand sanitizer

• warm hat and gloves

FOR COMMUNITY SUPPLY (WILL BE COLLECTED ON FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL):

• 6th graders bring – box of kleenex

• 7th graders bring – 2  ultra fine sharpies
• 8th graders bring – 1 ream of copy paper

• All students bring – 3 glue sticks
